Week 28

It's been a rough few weeks around here. In my last post, we were excited about spending Spring Break in New Orleans. However, the day before we left Chris' dad went in the hospital. Sadly, he passed away on March 24. We spent the rest of Spring Break and most of the next week with Chris' mom and brother helping them get things settled. Therefore, we're a bit behind on baby updates, but we've been blessed with good family and a sweet baby to talk about in times of sadness.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 weeks

Size of Baby: About 14 ½” and a little over 2 lbs. Around the size of a Chinese cabbage.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still just ½ lb.

Maternity Clothes: I’m wearing mostly maternity jeans or other forgiving pants. I’m still wearing regular tops.

Gender: It’s a girl!! We had our 4D ultrasound Tuesday, and we were finally able to see our girl.

Movement: She’s moving more and more. Some days she’s more laid back than others, but she’s definitely getting bigger and stronger.

Food Cravings: Sweet tea.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping great.

Symptoms: Just heartburn.

Best Moment This Week: The best moment by far was getting to see our girl, her chubby cheeks, and cute nose. I also loved watching Chris’ face while he was trying to make out what he was seeing on the screen during the ultrasound. Also, I had my gestational diabetes screening this morning, and I passed!

What I Am Looking Forward To: We’re having a little family party this weekend to tell them that we’re having a girl. We can’t wait.
