Week 35

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 35 weeks

Size of Baby: Over 18” long and around 5 ¼ lbs. Around the weight of a honeydew.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still claiming the 1 lb. gain from the last doctor visit.

Maternity Clothes: My maternity jeans are starting to fit awkwardly due to the big belly, and most of my t-shirts are quite tight over the bump.

Gender: It’s a girl!! Avery Grace.

Movement: She’s still moving around a bit, but overall, she’s very laid back. I still can’t tell what position she’s in.

Food Cravings: Nothing really.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m sleeping well and taking advantage of time to sleep.

Symptoms: Just heartburn and starting to feel a bit more uncomfortable. Also, I think I’ve had a few Braxton Hicks contractions.

Best Moment This Week: Chris and I got to stay home all day on Sunday. It was fun to spend a day with just him.

What I Am Looking Forward To: This weekend, we plan to work on Avery’s nursery. Also, Chris’ last FFA banquet for Acorn is Thursday. It should be fun but sad at the same time.

Week 34

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 34 weeks

Size of Baby: Almost 18” long and around 4 ¾lbs. Around the weight of a cantaloupe.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:I’ve gained 1 lb. according to the last doctor’s visit.

Maternity Clothes: I’m wearing mostly maternity jeans or other forgiving pants. I’m still wearing regular tops.

Gender: It’s a girl!! Avery Grace.

Movement: She is getting back to being laid back now. She moves around some then finds a comfy spot and is still for a long time. Also, she always quits moving when anyone else tries to feel her move.

Food Cravings: Nothing really.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping great, except last night when I had horrible heartburn all night.

Symptoms: Just heartburn and starting to feel a bit more uncomfortable.

Best Moment This Week: We had a baby shower yesterday, and it was perfect! Everything was so pretty, and my friends and family went above and beyond to make it special.

What I Am Looking Forward To: Since we’re trying to move after Avery’s born, we’re working on getting her nursery set up at Mom’s. Try setting up a nursery two hours away when you only get to go a few times a month! Hopefully, during Memorial Day weekend, we can get her nursery at least part way finished.

Week 33

Chris has been super busy, so I've been taking my own picture in the horrible, awful light of our extra bathroom.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 33 weeks

Size of Baby: Over 17” long and over 4 lbs. Around the weight of a large pineapple.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still claiming 0 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I’m wearing mostly maternity jeans or other forgiving pants. I’m still wearing regular tops.

Gender: It’s a girl!! Avery Grace.

Movement: She’s starting to move in different ways. I think she may be repositioning. Most of her movements are like stretches or waves of movement, but she still throws an occasional punch or kick.

Food Cravings: Nothing really.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping great.

Symptoms: Just heartburn and sometimes some pressure.

Best Moment This Week: I’ve been having some emotional issues this week. I think I have anxiety over trying to get everything done by the time she gets here and worrying when she will arrive. It’s been a up and down week.

What I Am Looking Forward To: I’m having a shower in Benton this weekend. I’m not really the shower type, but I think I’m looking forward to it.

Week 32

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 32 weeks

Size of Baby: About 16.7” long and about 3.75 lbs. Around the weight of a large jicama (another weird comparison this week).

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I gained back the pound I lost two weeks ago, so still 0 lbs.

Food Cravings: I had the weirdest craving for McDonald’s lately. I wanted a cheeseburger and sweet tea. I do not like McDonald’s food, so this was a new one for me.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m still sleeping great.

Symptoms: Just heartburn and sometimes some pressure.

Best Moment This Week: Chris and I got to spend a weekend at home. We had a good time just being lazy and not leaving the house much. It was nice.

What I Am Looking Forward To: My mom and Chris’ mom and brother are coming down for Mother’s day this Saturday. I’m looking forward to getting to visit with all of them without having to travel all over the state.
