Week 18

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 18 weeks

Size of Baby: 5 ½”, the length of a bell pepper.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I went to the doctor today, and I’m still at the same weight, so 0 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Just regular clothes, but they’re starting to get more uncomfortable.

Gender: We got the appointment today for THE ultrasound. It’s February 15. I am so excited.

Movement: I can’t tell if I’ve felt a few movements or if I’m making it up.

Food Cravings: Nothing really.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I haven’t slept as well this week mostly due to our sick dog. He’s woken me up several mornings at 4 or 5, and I’ve had trouble going to sleep after that.

Symptoms: Just a few headaches and some minor heartburn.

Best Moment This Week: We got to spend the weekend with my family, which is always fun. Also, today was my 18-week check-up. I got to hear the heartbeat again, and it was 152. It’s right on the border of the boy/girl heart rate.

What I Am Looking Forward To: I’m so looking forward to the ultrasound. We’re trying to decide how to tell our family.

Week 16 and 17

For some reason last week, things just got away from me. So, we didn't get a 16 week picture. This picture is from this week, which starts week 17.

Here are the highlights of both weeks:

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 16 weeks

Size of Baby: 4 ½”, the size of an avocado.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m not counting weight at home anymore, since it seems to be inaccurate. So, we’re still at 0 lbs. gained or lost.

Maternity Clothes: Just regular clothes.

Gender: We can’t wait to find out!

Movement: I may or may not have felt the baby move last week. I’m not sure if it was the baby or just my imagination.

Food Cravings: Nothing really.

What I Miss: I don’t miss anything.

Sleep: I’m getting up to use the bathroom more, but I’m still sleeping well.

Symptoms: Lately, I haven’t had any issues.

Best Moment This Week: We had snow over the weekend and got about 4 inches. Chris got two snow days, so it was great to get to spend time with him that we normally wouldn’t have.

What I Am Looking Forward To: I’m starting to really look forward to the ultrasound. I think it will be about February 8, but I’m not sure. I can’t wait to find out!
